You can Register until 30 June 2011 for the current season.
2011 Fees
The following table shows field hockey fees for the 2011 season. It should be noted that the Wests fee component is the only charge that goes towards running the hockey club as all other charges are passed on to various Illawarra Hockey Associations. The Wests component as well as fundraising is needed to cover equipment costs (shirts, balls, markers, GK equipment), field hire for training, team coaches, administration and presentations. So please assist where possible with fundraising activities the club puts on such as the trivia night and Oktoberfest.

Regardless of the number of teams you play for on a permanent basis you only pay the NSW, IMH, IWHA, Canteen and Wests fee once. To calculate your fees if you play in multiple teams take the total fee for one of the teams you play in then add the team fee component for your other teams plus the IMH or IWHA fee if it was not part of your original team. Fee discounts are available please see below for details.
Fees are due at the end of April. Players having difficulty paying should contact the treasurer to arrange to pay by instalments. Fees can be paid by Cheque, BPAY, EFT, Pay by Phone (Credit Cards), Internet (Credit Cards) or at Australia Post Offices, details will be attached to the bottom of invoices.
If you fail to pay your fees by the due date or as per arrangements made with the treasurer you will be stood down from future matches until the fee is paid. If at the end of the season you still haven’t paid you will be listed with NSW Hockey as being unfinancial and stopped from playing anywhere in NSW. If you still haven’t paid 12 months after being due legal action will be initiated to recover your fees, the cost of this action will also be added to your debt.
The following fee discounts are available to reduce playing costs:

Current Australian field hockey players selected in the open or junior national team who compete at an international game receive a discount equal to their Illawarra association and wests fees. This is in addition to what they can claim for representing NSW (see below). |

Current NSW field hockey players selected in the open or junior state team who attend the national championship receive a team fee discount for all of the teams that they are a permanent member of. |

Families with multiple children playing juniors receive a 50% reduction on the junior team fee component for the 2nd and subsequent child. Each child is limited to one family fee reduction. |
| Goal Keeping |
100% team fee |
Goal Keepers who provide their own goal keeping equipment receive a discount equal to the total of the team fees in which they play in goals on a permanent basis. |
| Table Duty |
$8 per game |
Wests women have to provide table duty to IWHA throughout the year. Our club provides a discount off your fees of $8 for each match you perform table duty. Please see the women’s co-ordinator to assist with this task. |
| Canteen |
$10 per hour |
Wests women have to provide canteen workers to IWHA throughout the year. Our club provides a discount off your fees of $10 for each hour you spend in the canteen. Please see the women’s co-ordinator to assist with this task. |
| Umpiring |
$10 per match |
Paid on the day to the umpire of junior matches. Please see the junior co-ordinator if you are interested in umpiring. |

Wests women have to provide umpires to IWHA throughout the year. Our club provides a discount off your fees of $15 for each match you umpire on behalf of Wests. Please see the women’s co-ordinator to assist with this task. |

Illawarra Men’s Hockey pay umpires for matches. 1st grade $30, 2nd grade $20 other grades $15. Please see the Men’s Co-ordinator if you are interested in umpiring. |
| Junior Coaches |
100% Junior Team Fee |
Junior coaches receive a discount equal to the team fee cost of the team they coach. Please see the junior co-ordinator if you are interested in coaching a junior team. |

Coaches of the men’s and women’s 1st grade teams receive a discount as determined by the executive. |

Members of the club executive receive the discount ie president, treasurer, secretary, men’s, women’s and junior co-ordinators. This discount also covers incidental expenses incurred in those roles. |

Life members are not required to pay membership fees to Wests and NSW Hockey. They have to pay all other charges. |
